Skazoria 2.0.0 – Experience Stories in a New Way

A lot has changed since Skazoria first launched. What started as an app for short stories and fairy tales is gradually becoming a world of stories for children and families.

With version 2.0.0, we're releasing our biggest update yet. Alongside classic stories, Skazoria now offers chapter books, audio stories, new ways to listen offline, and an app that changes its appearance with the seasons.

Chapter Books – Stories That Stay with You

Not every story ends after just a few minutes. Some adventures simply need a little more time.

That's why Skazoria now supports books with multiple chapters.

The chapter overview lets you jump directly to a specific section. Chapters you've already read are marked, and your reading position is saved automatically.

You can pause a longer story whenever you like and continue exactly where you left off.

Audio Stories – Sit Back and Listen

With version 2.0.0, audio stories are also becoming part of Skazoria.

Stories are no longer just for reading. Now you can listen to them, too. The new audio player includes a track list, remembers your listening position, and can continue playing in the background.

You can even lock your screen or use another app while the story keeps playing.

To prevent little listeners from accidentally changing the playback, we've also added a child lock directly to the audio player.

And best of all: Audio stories can be saved for offline listening. Perfect for trips, traveling, or anywhere without an internet connection.

An App That Changes with the Seasons

A little more magic is coming to Skazoria.

The app can now change its appearance for special occasions, starting with Halloween and Christmas.

Matching colors, background illustrations, menu icons, and subtle animations create a special atmosphere.

You'll also find themed story collections on the home screen, featuring stories that fit each occasion.

If you prefer the familiar look, you can always switch back to the classic design in the settings.

Discover Stories More Easily

As new formats arrive, the library continues to grow.

You can now filter specifically for text stories, books, and audio stories. These filters can be combined with age recommendations, categories, and other search options.

New icons on story covers show which formats are available at a glance.

This makes it easier to find the right story, whether you want to read independently, read together, or simply listen.

Your Personal Reading Time

Have you ever wondered how much time you've spent enjoying stories?

In "My Shelf," Skazoria now displays your total reading time alongside the stories you've started and completed.

Only the time you actually spend with a story open in the reader is counted. Reading a story again also adds to your total.

Your reading time is stored exclusively on your device.

Lots of Small Improvements

Alongside the major new features, we've refined many smaller details throughout the app.

Navigation is clearer, text and age recommendations are easier to read, and switching between different story formats is more convenient.

We've also improved offline management, cover image display, and navigation after reading or listening to a story.

What's Next?

Version 2.0.0 is an important step forward for Skazoria, but there's much more to come.

We want to keep expanding our collection, bring more stories to life through audio, and develop new ways for children and families to discover stories together.

Skazoria remains free and ad-free.

We'd love for you to try the new features and tell us what you enjoy or what you'd like to see next.

Happy reading, listening, and exploring!
