A clearer structure for the Skazoria library
The Skazoria library is growing, which makes a clear structure increasingly important. For this reason, the metadata of the stories has been revised and reorganized.
Categories, age recommendations, tags and lists now each have their own purpose and are designed to complement one another.
Fewer and clearer categories
Instead of continuously adding new categories, Skazoria deliberately uses a small and fixed selection:
Fairy Tales · Fables · Adventure · Fantasy · Lullabies
A category primarily describes what kind of story it is. This keeps the library understandable and consistent even as more stories are added.
Age groups are recommendations
The age information has also been simplified. Instead of ranges such as “3–5 years” or “6–8 years”, Skazoria now uses recommendations:
0+ · 2+ · 3+ · 5+ · 9+ · 13+
These are deliberately not strict limits. A story marked “5+” simply means that it is generally recommended from around that age. Readers are, of course, free to choose any story they enjoy regardless of the recommendation.
Tags add useful details
Tags are not intended to repeat information that is already covered by a category or age recommendation. Instead, they describe additional themes and characteristics of a story, such as magic, friendship, animals, courage, family, humor, dreams, dragons or winter.
Each story receives a maximum of five suitable tags. The goal is not to attach as many labels as possible, but to use a small number of meaningful tags that are genuinely useful for search and filtering.
Lists for special collections
Not everything fits naturally into a category, age recommendation or tag. This is where Skazoria's editorially curated lists come in.
Stories can be grouped around specific themes or occasions, for example Christmas stories, Easter stories, works by a particular author or other special collections.
Lists are intentionally flexible and are not limited to a fixed selection. This allows new collections to be created without introducing additional categories or tags.
More structure without limiting choice
With the new system, categories, age recommendations, tags and lists each have a clear purpose. Instead of unnecessarily repeating the same information, they complement one another.
This makes the Skazoria library easier to navigate while also preparing it for future growth. Stories can be discovered more precisely by type, age recommendation, theme or one of our curated collections.
The new structure also provides a stronger foundation for search and filtering in Skazoria, making one thing in particular easier: finding the right story.
